Meet Valeria!
Hi, I’m Valeria, the photographer behind Valeria Ferrando Photography. I’m a Bay Area wedding and elopement photographer based in Marin County, serving San Francisco, Napa, Sonoma, and destinations throughout Northern California.
My approach to photography is rooted in a balance of editorial direction and natural storytelling. I’m drawn to thoughtful design, beautiful light, fashion, architecture, and the subtle details that give each celebration its own character. I love creating imagery that feels refined and intentional, while leaving enough space for a wedding day to unfold naturally.
I believe the best photographs come from knowing when to direct and when to simply observe. During portraits, I offer guidance with composition, movement, and light to create images that feel polished without becoming overly posed. Throughout the rest of the day, my approach becomes more observational, documenting the interactions, atmosphere, and unexpected moments as they happen.
Originally from Colombia and now based in Marin County, I’ve always had a strong appreciation for art, design, and the way photographs preserve a sense of place and time. My background has also shaped the importance I place on family and the people who make a celebration meaningful.
I photograph weddings of all scales, from intimate San Francisco City Hall ceremonies and coastal elopements to full wedding weekends throughout Wine Country and Northern California. Regardless of the setting, I approach every celebration with the same attention to composition, detail, and experience.
My goal is to create a wedding gallery that feels cohesive, sophisticated, and distinctly personal photographs with an editorial quality that never overshadows the people or the story behind them. I want every gallery to feel considered, timeless, and entirely its own. Images that feel relevant today and just as beautiful decades from now.
