Vanessa Rocha Photography
I’m Vanessa!
Nice to meet you!
Photography has always been about people for me. I’m drawn to real connection, honest emotion, and the kind of moments that feel small in the moment but become everything with time. I don’t believe the most meaningful photographs are created through perfection, but through presence, trust, and allowing people to simply be themselves.
I’m a mother of two, and becoming a parent changed the way I see the world and the way I photograph it. It deepened my love for family photography and gave me a profound appreciation for how fast life moves. Those lived experiences shape my work in a quiet but powerful way, influencing how I notice interactions, expressions, and the subtle bonds between the people I photograph.
Before fully stepping into photography, I worked as a postpartum doula, supporting families during one of the most tender seasons of their lives. That background gave me a deep love for newborns and a strong respect for the vulnerability and beauty of early parenthood. It also taught me to slow down, to observe, and to approach every story with care and intention, qualities that naturally carry into my photography.
Today, I’m deeply fulfilled by documenting families, newborns, and meaningful milestones in a way that feels timeless and emotionally rich. I’m inspired by authenticity, gentle light, and moments that feel true to who you are. Photography allows me to combine my creative eye with my love for people, and I feel incredibly grateful to do work that connects me to so many stories.
This isn’t just what I do, it’s what I love, and it’s a privilege to preserve moments that will only grow more meaningful with time.
