Leah Prahm Photography
I'm Leah Prahm, a Marin County portrait photographer specializing in high school senior portraits with an editorial, fine-art approach. I love creating images that feel natural, expressive, and personal, capturing each senior's individuality while incorporating beautiful light, movement, and the surrounding environment.
Before becoming a professional photographer, I spent over 25 years as an award-winning Creative Director and Art Director, developing advertising campaigns, creating brand identities, and art directing photography for clients including Microsoft, Autodesk, CK Mondavi and Family, and K2 Skis. I continue to work in creative direction and design, and that experience plays a significant role in how I approach photography today.
One of my favorite parts of photographing seniors is getting to know who they are and finding creative ways to bring their personalities into the images. From Marin's golden hills and coastal landscapes to unexpected urban settings, I love exploring beautiful light, discovering unique locations, and creating a collection of portraits that feels as individual as the person I'm photographing.
Every session is thoughtfully planned around each senior's personality, style, and interests, while leaving room for spontaneity and those unexpected moments that often become favorite images. I enjoy working with a variety of settings, compositions, and natural movement to create a gallery that feels cohesive yet offers something different in every photograph. My goal is for seniors to feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely themselves throughout the experience.
I also believe photographs deserve to be enjoyed beyond a screen, and I love helping clients turn their favorite images into beautiful fine-art prints, framed portraits, and custom albums. My background in creative direction and design brings a unique perspective to thoughtfully curating photographs into lasting pieces of art that can be treasured for years to come.
